Nanban Sauce
Versatile Japanese frying marinade with a sweet and tangy flavor.
- 150ml Water
- 4 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 3 tbsp Mirin
- 3 tsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Cooking Vinegar
- Slices of Ginger
- Add all the ingredients to a pot.
- Heat until boiling, then set aside.
- This sauce can be used to add flavour to fried foods, such as Karaage. It is not used to have as a sauce on the side on the table.
